Saying of the Month

May your stuffing be tasty

May your turkey plump,

May your potatoes and gravy

Have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious

And your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner

Stay off your thighs!

This one's for you.... Merridee!

Thought this might make you laugh......

I came acoss this old picture and the only thing I remember is doing a tap dance to the song "Animal Crackers" by Shirley Temple.

I don't remember being amazon girl! Was I really that much taller than you? (I am 5' 9 now... I am interested now to know how tall you are?)

We are only 1 1/2 yrs apart! You must have looked up to me, huh? Ha, Ha!

Fun memories!!!!!!

  1. Oh My Gosh!!! I don't remember that picture, I do however remember the animal crackers song!! I was on my blog showing my brother Lonney the picture of Brayden's lip and I thought I would show him your blog. It was a shocker when the first thing I saw was you and I!!! I don't remember you being so much taller than me, I am 5'7" now so at least I caught up a little bit. I am so glad you found that picture I am not sure if my mom took any, with me being one of the last children!!! By the way my mom says hi and wants to know how your mom is?

  4. I am glad that I found that picture, too! I agree that the youngest children get jipped on pictures! I am happy that you are as tall as you are! Good job! ha, ha....infact, my daughter is a freshman in high school and is only 5'1'. She definitely doesn't take after me! Your mom is so sweet! I do have several memories of her! :) My mom is doing good! She still lives in Apple Valley with my step-dad, Bob, and she is still teaching elementary school. A few years ago, with all the horrible budget cuts, her job of being Reading Recovery Specialist was cut and she had to go back into the classroom, which made her sad because Reading Recovery is her absolute passion!!! She was recently released as Primary President after 4 yrs (we were both P.Presidents at the same time) but is now the ward music specialist! She loves doing it, too. I told her that we have been blogging each other and she was thrilled! :) As am I.
